GRUB: Our Favourite Cafe at Bishan Park with Kopi Pork Ribs, Churros and 1-for-1 Mentaiko Fries

About GRUB

Grub is a now not-so-hidden gem located in Bishan Park, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. They serve up delicious western cuisine with a hint of Asian and Local influences, and is the perfect place to wind down with your family and friends over the weekends.

Appetisers

We started our meal with their flavourful house-blend mentaiko sauce drizzled over a bed of crispy fries, and was a delicious and perfect appetiser to kick start our meal. To make it even better, they are having a 1-for-1 deal for their Mentaiko Fries ($9) if you flash your Snatch App!

Note: Available from 31st July – 14th Aug, Monday – Thursday excluding PH and Eve of PH.

For the healthy eaters, you can try their Thai Pork Salad ($13) which is a new addition on their menu. This bowl of greens was served with a generous portion of shredded pork slices on top and Thai chilli dressing, which makes for a healthy meal or a side dish to be shared around the table.

Mains

Their signature Chilli Crab Pasta ($19) features a generous portion of battered soft-shell crab on top the pasta mixed with Grub’s fresh blend of chilli crab sauce. You can taste the freshness of the chili crab gravy, which is specially made in-house by their chefs daily.

Next, we had their Sakura Ebi Pasta ($18), which was served with a generous splash of fried sakura ebi, de-shelled prawns and a hint of mentaiko sauce drizzled over the linguine. It was similar to the classic Aglio Olio but with a strong Japanese twist.

Next, we had their  Teriyaki Chicken ($22) pizza, which was glazed in teriyaki sauce and covered in grilled chicken chunks and bonito flakes. The crispy crust was not overly thick and we loved the combination of flavours. This is a must try at Grub.

Their GRUB Double Cheeseburger ($19) features a stack of warms bun with melted cheese, bacon slices and 2 of their 100% freshly minced beef patties. It was also served with a small bucket of fries, and is one of the favourites for those who frequent Grub!

Desserts

We ended our meal with their Crispy Churros ($8), which is best eaten alone or dunking it in their Dark Chocolate and Yuzu White Chocolate dip. The perfect guilty treat to conclude our sumptuous meal at Grub.

August Specials

In light of Singapore’s 52nd National Day, GRUB has dedicated this month to celebrate all things “Singaporean”. They will be having a line up of our nations’ young and brightest talents at GRUB via live band performances, workshops and more. This month, they have also added 2 new dishes to their menu–a western dish and dessert, both with a local “kopi” twist.

Their Kopi Pork Ribs ($19), featuring a generous portion of tender pork ribs drenched in a special Kopi sauce which brought a sweeter flavour to the otherwise savoury dish. This is only available at GRUB for the month of August, so be sure to give it a taste.

Another new addition is their Kopi-c-misu ($8), which had an amazing espresso aroma. Similar to your classic tiramisu.

Verdict

Residents living around Bishan Park surely a lucky bunch, with the amazing food and relaxing ambiance to match at Grub.
